You hold me without touch.
You keep me without chains.
I never wanted anything so much than to drown in your love and not feel your reign.

With everything that has happened to you, you can either feel sorry for yourself or treat what has happened as a gift. Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose.

If you want to talk to somebody honestly, as a human being, ask him about his kids. Find out what his dreams are - just to find out, for no other reason. Because as soon as you lay your hands on a conversation to steer it, it’s not a conversation anymore, it’s a pitch. And you’re not a human being, you’re a marketing rep.

Time Flying on Starry Evenings

Recently, I went on a walk with someone I’ve never really talked to or have ever seen out of the “partying” enviorment. It was an interesting experience in my opinion from all the random things we were able to talk about. It reminded me of the sweet bliss of meeting a stranger and the innocence of having your first real conversation with them. No judgement, no criticism… just truly two people trying to grasp the true identity of the other. Our conversation went on for about three hours without even realizing it. We had some awkward silences and unusual topics to talk about (ones that a person would probably not talk about when first hanging out with another). What amazes me though is that after five miles of walking, I still did not have a clue of who this person really is. They did not fit one certain image that I thought they would. This in the end made me realize that we can’t simply generalize a person in one category because each person has such a wide range of components that make them who they are. Anyways, I don’t know if I’ll talk to this person again but, it was a great reminder of “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover” and “There is more than meets the eye” type of stuff.
